专利说明:
DEVICE FOR THE TOPICAL TREATMENT OF EPIDERAL TISSUE AND COMPOSITIONS FOR THIS TECHNICAL DOMAIN The invention relates to a device for topically applying a composition to epidermal tissue, wherein the composition is suitable for the treatment of epidermal disorders, such as (biotin-dependent) nail dystrophy and onychoschizia, onychomycosis, onychophagia or nail biting, thumb sucking, acne, rosacea, age or pigmentation spots, vitiligo or psoriasis. The invention also relates to compositions suitable for use in such devices. BACKGROUND ART In a local epidermal condition, such as (biotin dependent) nail dystrophy and onychoschizia, onychomycosis, onychophagia or nail biting, thumb sucking, acne, rosacea, age or pigmentation spots, vitiligo or psoriasis, it is important to have a composition intended for the treatment of that condition. can be applied very accurately to the epidermal tissue to be treated, without coming into contact with other, untreatable epidermal tissue, since the composition on it can in some cases cause adverse or undesirable effects. The manual application of the composition, for example in the form of emulsions, gels, ointments (creams), pastes or patches, is not always accurate and moreover the composition comes into contact with the fingers and / or hand of the applicator, which produce unwanted effects. A number of devices for the local topical treatment of epidermal tissue have already been described in NL 2003 786, WO 2004 096447, WO 2013 039557 and BE 2010 0520, without the applicator contacting the composition. In general, these devices comprise a supply container or container that can be handled by a user and which comprises the composition for treatment, and on the other hand an applicator piece or applicator element connected to the supply container and with which the composition is applied to the epidermal tissue. It is important that evaporation and / or leakage of the composition from the device is minimized. After all, leakage and evaporation results in loss of the composition, which often contains expensive active components, and leads to the applicator piece drying out. The latter means that a consistent, even and accurate deposition of the composition cannot always be guaranteed over time. Furthermore, evaporation can also cause a change in the rheological properties of the composition in the storage container, ie the composition becomes more viscous, which makes the flow of the composition from the storage container to the applicator piece more difficult and can therefore no longer be applied, which can be applied again. leads to a loss of the composition. It is the object of the present invention to provide such a sealing cap for a device for the topical treatment of epidermal tissue, so that the device exhibits minimal leakage / evaporation of the composition. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to find a solution to at least some of the above problems by providing a device for applying a topical treatment of epidermal tissue, for example for the treatment of skin and / or nail disorders, comprising: an elongated housing comprising a closed proximal end and an at least partially open distal end having a shape such that the device can be held at the distal end by a user with the thumb and at least one other finger of the same hand; a storage container accommodated in the house for assembly; an applicator piece provided at the distal end of the housing, comprising an applicator tip, which applicator tip extends through the applicator piece into the storage container of the elongated housing and thus contacts the assembly; and a detachable sealing cap for protecting the application tip, characterized in that the sealing cap is adapted for the liquid-tight sealing of the applicator piece. This has the advantage that the device exhibits minimal evaporation / leakage of the composition when the sealing cap is mounted on the device. In a second aspect, the invention relates to a use of a device according to the present invention for the topical treatment of (biotin-dependent) nail dystrophy and onychoschizia, onychomycosis, onychophagia or nail biting, thumb sucking, acne, rosacea, age or pigmentation spots, vitiligo or psoriasis. The device allows accurate and local application of the composition designated for treatment on the epidermal tissue, which is advantageous in view of the nature of the conditions. In a final aspect, the invention relates to a composition suitable for inclusion in a storage container of a device according to the present invention, characterized in that the composition comprises the following components: 0.001-20% by weight of an active ingredient for the above-mentioned topical treatments; 50-99 weight percent of a solvent; 0.1-20 weight percent of an additive; wherein the sum of active ingredient, solvent, additive and others equals 100% by weight of the total composition. DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES Figure 1 shows a perspective drawing of a device according to the present invention. Figure 2 shows a perspective drawing of a user who applies the device according to Figure 1 to a nail surface. Figure 3 shows a cross section (A) and side section (B) of the device according to Figure 1. Figure 4 shows a cross-section of the sealing cap according to Figure 1. In the figures, corresponding parts are designated with the same reference numerals as much as possible. DETAILED DESCRIPTION The invention relates to a device for applying a composition for a local topical treatment of epidermal tissue with minimal evaporation / leakage of the composition from the device, when a closure cap is mounted on the device. Unless defined otherwise, all terms used in the description of the invention, including technical and scientific terms, have the meaning as generally understood by those skilled in the art of the invention. For a better assessment of the description of the invention, a number of terms are explicitly explained. "A", "de" and "het" in this document refer to both the singular and the plural unless the context clearly assumes otherwise. For example, "an additive" means one or more than one additive. The citation of numerical intervals by the end points includes all integers, fractions and / or real numbers between the end points, including these end points. In a first aspect, the invention relates to a device for applying a composition for a topical treatment of an epidermal tissue, for example for the treatment of skin and / or nail disorders, comprising: an elongated housing provided with a closed proximal end and a at least partially open distal end having a shape such that the device can be held at the distal end by a user with the thumb and at least one other finger of the same hand; a storage container accommodated in the house with the composition; an applicator piece provided at the distal end of the housing, comprising an applicator tip, which applicator tip extends through the applicator piece into the storage container of the elongated housing and thus contacts the assembly; and a detachable sealing cap for protecting the application tip, characterized in that the sealing cap is adapted for the liquid-tight sealing of the applicator piece. The term "composition" is used herein as a synonym for "product" or "agent". The term "epidermal tissue" as used herein refers not only to human skin and / or finger and / or toenails, but also includes similar structures present in animals, such as animal skin, fur, animal nails, hooves, claws, etc. By the term "liquid-tight" is meant that a minimum leakage of the composition to the applicator piece occurs in a maximum of 5% of the cases when the sealing cap is mounted on the device. In a further preferred embodiment there is a minimum leakage in maximum 3%, more preferably in maximum 1% and most preferably in maximum 0.1% of the cases. By the term "minimum leakage" is meant that a maximum of 5% of the total composition leaks into the storage container from the applicator piece when the sealing cap is mounted on the device. In a further preferred embodiment maximum 3%, more preferably maximum 1% and most preferably maximum 0.1% of the total composition in the storage container that leaks from the applicator piece when the sealing cap is mounted on the device. The current device allows a composition to be applied to epidermal tissue easily, quickly and in a user-friendly manner. This is important since the success of a treatment depends to a large extent on the compliance of the patient. In a preferred embodiment, the composition has a viscosity preferably between 1 mPa s and 1000 mPa s, more preferably between 10 mPa s and 800 mPa s, even more preferably between 50 mPa s and 600 mPa s, even more preferably between 100 mPa s and 400 mPa s and most preferably between 150 mPa s and 250 mPa s. Too high a viscosity ensures that the composition cannot flow through the pores of the application tip and therefore cannot be applied in a topical treatment. Too low a viscosity, on the other hand, ensures that the composition is not retained by the application tip and that the composition can flow out of the housing. A composition with a too low viscosity will also cause problems with the topical treatment. For example, the composition with too low a viscosity will spread over a large surface, which makes precise application of the composition difficult or impossible. In a preferred embodiment, housing, storage container, applicator piece and sealing cap are made of polymers and produced via injection molding in a mold. In a second aspect, the invention relates to a device in which the sealing cap is adapted for sealing the applicator piece substantially in a gas-tight manner. By the term "gas-tight" it is meant that a minimal evaporation of the composition on the applicator piece occurs in a maximum of 5% of the cases when the sealing cap is mounted on the device. In a further preferred embodiment, there is a minimum evaporation in maximum 3%, more preferably in maximum 1% and most preferably in maximum 0.1% of the cases. By the term "minimum evaporation" is meant that a maximum of 5% of the total composition in the supply container evaporates on the applicator piece when the sealing cap is mounted on the device. In a further preferred embodiment, there is a maximum of 3%, more preferably a maximum of 1% and most preferably a maximum of 0.1% of the total composition in the storage container that evaporates on the applicator piece when the sealing cap is mounted on the device. In a preferred embodiment, the aforementioned sealing cap consists of: a first housing, provided with a closed distal end and an open proximal end, which, when the sealing cap is mounted on the device, comprises the applicator piece at least in part and of which the open proximal end is provided of a connection mechanism for engaging the applicator piece; and a second housing, also provided with a closed distal end and an open proximal end, which is accommodated by the first housing and which, when the closure cap is mounted on the device, includes the application tip at least partially and which has the open proximal end provided is of a connecting mechanism to engage on or around the application tip. With these two housings, the sealing cap provides double protection for the application tip, which allows to minimize evaporation and leakage of the composition. In a preferred preferred embodiment, the connecting mechanism of the second housing according to the present invention comprises grooves that fit into recesses present on or around the application tip. In a preferred embodiment, a device according to the present invention, in cross section through the device, for example through a connection point (4) (Fig. 1-3), essentially has a trapezoidal shape. This shape has the advantage that when the device is on a horizontal surface, it cannot start rolling over this surface when a user comes into contact with it, for example when a force is exerted on it. Furthermore, the closure of the sealing cap on the housing is unambiguous and simple due to this shape, which increases the usability of the device. Finally, this shape also simplifies the assembly of the device, i.e. because the housing, storage container, applicator piece and sealing cap can be mounted to each other in an unambiguous manner. This allows the assembly of the various components of the device to be automated, which increases the production efficiency of the device. In a further aspect, the invention relates to a use of a device according to one of the preceding claims for the topical treatment of (biotin-dependent) nail dystrophy and onychoschizia, onychomycosis, onychophagia or nail biting, thumb sucking, acne, rosacea, age or pigmentation spots, vitiligo or psoriasis. Devices according to the invention are suitable, for example, for the treatment, prevention and after-treatment of onychomycosis caused by dermatophytes, yeasts or fungi or mixed infections. Age or pigmentation spots may include melasma, birthmarks, freckles, etc. Furthermore, devices according to the invention can be used, for example, for the treatment, prevention, after-treatment or supportive treatment of nail diseases, the treatment of diseases in areas around the nails (so-called periungual diseases), nail care, skin diseases, as well as skin care. Moreover, the present invention also relates to the use of a device according to the invention for the treatment of hooves, claws, nails, skin or fur of animals. The frequency of application of the device according to the invention is partly determined by the nature and location of the condition. In general, applying one, two or three times a day is sufficient. The device is applied directly to the skin, nail, hoof, coat or claw.
